Eligible? | Weatherization can greatly improve the health and safety of a household while reducing overall energy use, thereby lowering heating costs and reliance on financial assistance. Due to funding limitations, there is a higher need for Weatherization Assistance than can currently be met. In Program Year 2000, 7,497 Fuel Assistance Recipients requested Weatherization Services. With $1.6 million in combined DOE and LIHEAP funding, and in accordance with an average spending limit per home established by DOE, NH Weatherization service providers were able to help improve the health, safety, and energy efficiency of 530 homes. A breakdown by geographical area follows.
