2 Average price is taken from the US Department of Energy Electric Power Monthly- November 1998 - with data for August 1998. Average is the total monthly revenue divided by monthly sales for the residential sector.
3 Natural Gas rate is the most recent Winter Domestic Heat net rate for Energy North Natural Gas. Winter rate begins on November 1. Monthly customer charge is not included in the average. Rate is for first 80 therms only, rate is reduced after 80 therms.
4 A therm equals 100,000 Btu (British Thermal Units)
