workshop September 9 for New Hampshire industries
Motor failure spells disaster for manufacturers. Rushed fixes often make operations even more costly, and result in continued poor performance and unreliable production and delivery. Planning is the answer. Incentives for managing and upgrading motors in the manufacturing sector are the topic for the September 9th workshop presented by the NH Industries of the Future Program. "Energy Savings Through Motor Management" will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at New Hampshire Ball Bearing, 175 Jaffrey Road in Peterborough, will feature information on developing a motor management plan, identifying when to repair or replace a motor, and determining which motor is the most energy efficient and practical for a variety of applications. Representatives of MotorUp, a utility sponsored program that promotes the use of premium efficiency motors, will lead the discussion. The group will present utility-sponsored rebate opportunities for purchasing premium efficiency motors. They will also distribute the U.S. Department of Energy’s MotorMaster software for developing a motor management plan.
